imc STUDIO 2024 Launched

Among the most important features of the new and improved version of test and measurement software imc STUDIO are an increased efficiency, metadata for detailed documentation of measurement campaigns, and a Python® interface.

imc Test & Measurement, announces the release of imc STUDIO 2024, the new and improved version of the test and measurement software for the entire measurement process.

The most important new features include the efficient input and management of metadata to document measurements well, for example in their test and boundary conditions, support for convenient calibration of measurement microphones, and a Python® interface for the flexible expansion of data analysis options in post-processing. Overall, functionality and handling have been further improved and the response when working with hundreds of active channel configurations has been significantly accelerated.

To enable test engineers working with imc measurement systems and data loggers to concentrate even more on their core competencies, namely the reliable execution of measurements and the sound interpretation of their results, imc STUDIO’s efficiency, functionality, and user-friendliness have been further enhanced. These improvements include comprehensive measurement documentation options using metadata, new versatile interfaces, and recording the complete calibration history of measurement microphones for traceability and trend detection.

To draw the most meaningful conclusions from the results of complex measurement series in later analysis, it would be beneficial to carefully document all important additional information: on test settings and any parameters or environmental conditions that were varied in the process. This is the best way to gain deep insights from the valuable and carefully compiled measurement data. imc STUDIO offers a convenient solution for managing such metadata. It can prompt for input and then assign metadata in text or numerical form to measurement data, which is available in display panels and reports as well as for display and editing in FAMOS.

The new Python® interface allows post-procession of measurement data using this programming language, which dominates in machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI). This enables new, innovative ways of analysis by integrating algorithms coded in Python® and offers the opportunity to benefit from a global and collaborative open-source community. Additionally, imc STUDIO fits in seamlessly for users who already use established workflows and processes with Python®.

As a unified imc operation software, imc STUDIO 2024 supports all previous generations of imc systems, in particular the new imc ARGUSfit data logger with all current modules and functionalities.
