MSR255
MSR255: Multifunction Data Logger with LCD Display
- Handy data logger for monitoring temperature, humidity, pressure, acceleration or light
- 2 m measured values · optional 4 analogue inputs
- LCD display
The robust data logger MSR255 has an individually configurable, 4-line LCD display that shows the current values of all measurement channels as well as the battery status and other device information. Thanks to its high-capacity lithium polymer battery the data logger is ideal for long-term data acquisition applications.
Simultaneous recording of up to five different measured variables
The MSR255 has a large memory of over 2 million measurement values and is capable of simultaneously recording and storing up to five different measured variables: temperature, humidity, air pressure, acceleration and light. Acceleration values can be measured at 3200 Hz and saved at a frequency of approx. 50 Hz following digital filtration. In addition, the voltage of four further external analogue channels or sensors can also be recorded. The analogue inputs feature an alarm output, multiple output switching power supply and an input for starting and stopping data recording.
All measured values can be rapidly transferred to a PC or laptop via the USB interface for data analysis purposes. The user-friendly MSR PC software for data acquisition and analysis comes free of charge.

MSR255: multifunctional data logger with LCD display
With the MSR160 data logger, sensors can be connected to the integrated analogue inputs, ensuring maximum flexibility for a multitude of measurement tasks (e.g. CO2, conductivity, pH etc). The analogue inputs of this multi-purpose quality logger can be used to connect conventional sensors with analogue outputs. In addition, a multiple output switching power supply is also provided. The MSR160 is used for example, in the automotive industry (vehicle manufacture and development), in measurement and testing applications for railways and trains and also in the environmental technology sector. Its robust small format is ideally suited to outdoor applications in particular – for example measurements at wind power and other energy installations. With the corresponding sensors connected, the MSR160 is equally suited for applications in the food processing industry, laboratory technology or in patient monitoring. The measuring tasks undertaken by the user define the way in which the MSR255 is configured: There is a choice of temperature, humidity, air pressure and light sensors (which can be fitted as required either internally within the case or externally on a cable) together with a sensor for monitoring acceleration in all three co-ordinate axes.
The handy MSR255 simultaneously measures and saves up to five different measurement parameters. The voltage signals from four additional analogue channels can also be recorded. The internal memory capacity of the MSR255 is over 2 million measurement parameters. Thanks to its higher capacity lithium polymer battery (2300 mAh) the unit is ideal for making long-term measurements. A permanent power supply can also be connected via a 6V socket.
The MSR255 has two operating keys. The easy-to-read 4-row backlit LCD display has four individually configurable views. Up to four display values can be defined for each of the views and users may select from all of the measurement channels, battery status, configurable limits and alarm values. The display also has an energy-saving mode.Data can be transferred to any PC or laptop using the software and USB cable supplied.
